ERC grantee Lorraine Brennan to attend IUFoST 2016
Professor Lorraine Brennan, a Conway Fellow and a PI at the Institute of Food and Health of University College Dublin will be speaking at the IUFoST 2016 World Congress of food science and technology.
The congress takes place will take place in Dublin, between 21 and 25 August.
Delegates at the congress will be discussing technologies for greening the global food supply chain through innovation in food science.
Lorraine Brennan’s research interests revolve around metabolism and altered metabolic pathways in health and disease. She leads a metabolomics research group in UCD and is instrumental in the development of metabolomics for nutritional research.
She was awarded an ERC Consolidator grant in 2015 and is a partner in JPI projects FoodBall and Enpadasi. She has published over 90 peer-reviewed publications including publications in leading journals such as Nature, Diabetes and Diabetalogia.
